KUCHING: A car fire was successfully extinguished by the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) last night (May 24) near SK Wira Jaya Batu 8 on Jalan Penrissen.
An emergency call was received at 8.43pm, prompting the deployment of firefighters from the Batu Lintang Fire Station.
They arrived at the scene at 8.57pm, finding a Honda Civic fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters reported that the fire was brought under control using two initial attack hose lines, with water sourced from the fire engine’s tank.
The fire was completely extinguished by 9.07pm.
No injuries were reported as there were no occupants in the vehicle at the time.
The operation concluded at 9.14pm, with the area declared safe and firefighters returning to the station.
