BETONG: A cancer patient who has to spend RM300 a month to rent an oxygen aid has received assistance from the Malaysian Family Squad (SKM), Betong Welfare Volunteer Organisation (PSKB) and Saribas Caring Squad.

Voluntary community coordinator of Betong social welfare office, Razemah Azool presented an immediate aid fund of RM300 for Razalie from kampung Buda here to his wife on Sunday (March 6).

“The fund is to alleviate the burden of the family before other assistance can be channelled.

“Hopefully, more parties will come forward to aid the family,” said Razemah.

She added that Razalie was also given a food basket donated by the Saribas Caring Squad.

Razemah hoped that the aid programme to needy individuals could be intensified with support from grassroots leaders and NGOs such as the caring squads in the respective constituencies.
