KUCHING: Sarawakians are called to unite with renewed determination, making 2025 a year not only of celebration but also of action, progress, and collective success.
In his New Year message, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi expressed hope that 2025 will be a year of transformation for Sarawak.
“A year where Sarawak emerges as a beacon of progress, where we harness the full potential of our natural resources, our youth, and our rich diversity to create a prosperous future for every single Sarawakian.
“We will not wait for change. We will be the architects of it.
“To our youth, you are the heartbeat of Sarawak’s future. To our communities, whether urban or rural, the government of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will ensure that your voices are heard, your needs addressed, and your aspirations realized,” he said in his official Facebook post recently.
Julaihi, who is also the Sebuyau assemblyman, said that in 2025, Sarawak will advance towards sustainable development and prosperity going hand in hand.
“No one is left behind, and every Sarawakian can thrive. Together, we will build not just infrastructure, but a legacy, one that will be passed down for generations,” he said.
He also expressed his deep pride and gratitude for all that Sarawakians, as a united people, have accomplished.
“The dawn of this new year is not merely a passage of time; it is a powerful opportunity for us to chart a bold and brighter future for Sarawak, to stand taller, stronger, and more determined than ever before,” he added.
Looking back on 2024, Julaihi said the state and its people faced both trials and triumphs that tested its mettle.
“Yet, Sarawak’s spirit—our unity, perseverance, and strength—shone through. We overcame challenges with resilience, found opportunities in adversity, and proved that no obstacle is too great for the people of Sarawak.
“Today, we are more than just a state; we are a force that drives progress and change, not just in Malaysia, but on the global stage.
“Under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, we will continue to build a future where no one is left behind, and every Sarawakian has the chance to thrive,” he said.
Thus, Julaihi urged everyone to unite, with renewed resolve, to make this New Year not just one of celebration, but one of action, progress, and shared success.
“We are Sarawak. We are resilient. We are unstoppable. May this New Year be filled with hope, strength, and unparalleled achievement for all Sarawakians.
“Together, we will rise to new heights and chart an even greater future. Happy New Year 2025, Sarawak,” he said.
