KUCHING: A business delegation from the state has met up with Enterprise Singapore to explore potential economic collaboration between them.

The state delegation comprised Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) and the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) president Datuk Tan Jit Kee,  Datuk Jonathan Chai and Rodger Chan.

A potential collaboration between KCGCCI, ACCCIS and Enterprise Singapore is expected to provide significant opportunities for businesses in Sarawak and Singapore to further enhance their respective economies.

The delegation was welcomed by the Enterprise Singapore chairman Peter Ong on April 12.

During the visit, Tan gave an introduction of KCGCCI and ACCCIS and provided an overview of the Sarawak economy.

Both parties also engaged in active discussion on the existing links between Sarawak and Singapore.

Enterprise Singapore, a statutory board under the Singapore Government’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups while also helping Singapore companies venture outside of Singapore, including Sarawak.
