MUKAH: The Bumiputera Economic Patriotism Consolidation Programme will be held at UiTM Sarawak Mukah Campus (UiTM Mukah) on 15 March.
It is jointly organised by the Federation of Malay Economic Bodies (Gabem), the Ministry of Higher Learning, Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU) , Student Entrepreneurship Council for Malaysian Universities (MAKMUM), Malaysian University Leadership Training Council (MAKLUM) and UiTM Sarawak.
To be staged in the hall of UiTM Mukah, Dewan Sri Balau, the one-day programme will kick off with the registration at 8am.
GABEM Chairman, Tan Sri Dr. Rahim Tamby Chik, facilitators from Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysia Internet Entrepreneurship Assocation (PUIM), SME Corp and representatives from institutions of higher learning in Mukah are expected to attend the programme.
According to UiTM Mukah Business Management Faculty Study Centre Head, Mohamad Musa Bohari, the programme is aimed at raising awareness and understanding on the importance of entrepreneurship among the Bumiputeras.
Among the activities of the programme to be held from 8.30am to 5pm are talks including “One Family One Company(1K1S)” by Mohd Farouk Mohd Sultan from GABEM, “Bumiputera Starting Capital Scheme (SUPERB)” by Ahmad Azlan Shah from TERAJU, “Franchise Business Opportunity” by an undisclosed representative from PNB, “Online Business Opportunity “ by Mohd Azrul Mohd Nor (PUIM) and “Bumiputera Youth Entrepreneurship Budding Programme (TUBE)” by SME Corp.
Mohamad added that the morning session would wrap up with a dialogue, to be moderated by Datuk Jasmil Haji Ghani .
UiTM Sarawak Rector, Prof. Dato’ Dr Jamil Hj Hamali and Rahim Thamby are expected to speak at the programme.
