JULAU: The presence of Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Mobile Banking Branch (Cawangan Bank Bergerak, CBB) at the basketball court in Julau on Wednesday (Jan 8) was warmly received by residents as it alleviates the burden of traveling to distant bank branches for transactions.

According to branch officer of BSN Sarikei, Jonathan Jony, the CBB, which operates from 10am to 2pm, offers various services such as instant ATM card account opening, cash deposits, cash withdrawals, ATM access, Sakinah & Qaseh Bakti takaful protection, bill payments, cashless transactions, prepaid top-ups, Suri KWSP contributions and disbursement of government assistance.

The CBB service plays a crucial role in BSN’s mission to ensure that no Malaysian is left behind, in line with its vision.

“In addition to Julau, the CBB also operates in Pakan and Kabong to cater to the needs of rural residents. This approach is very appropriate, especially for communities that face difficulties accessing banking services,” Jonathan added.

For BSN customer Jantom Uban, the initiative is highly appreciated as it provides significant assistance to the people.

“With the presence of CBB, it saves time as we no longer need to travel far or stand in long queues,” he said.

“It also makes it convenient, especially for BSN account holders, as there is no BSN branch in Julau,” he added.
