KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, Brigadier General Datuk Paduka Mahmud Saidin in Demak Jaya here, yesterday (May 17).
The visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam and to discuss cooperation in the field of economy and development.
The Brunei envoy was accompanied by his wife, Datin Soraya Datuk Hamid, the Consulate General of Brunei Darussalam in Sarawak, Noni Zurainah and the Consul of Brunei Darussalam in Sarawak Adib Yazid Mohd Zaini.
Present during the visit was Taib’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib.
