KUCHING: The General Practitioners (GP) Symposium was held to share the latest medical information and ideas, with a particular focus on providing excellent patient care.

The symposium was organised by KPJ Kuching Specialist at the Waterfront Hotel here on Saturday.

Medical director of KPJ Kuching Dr David Sylvester Ling Sheng Tee said about 40 Medical Officers, including both private and government sectors attended the event.

“The goal of the symposium was to give GPs a chance to meet, connect, and work better together. Our main aim is to make Malaysia’s healthcare system stronger. This matches with KPJ’s ‘Care for Life’ idea.

“During the symposium, experts talked about different topics. They covered things like swelling in the neck, managing pain, living a healthy lifestyle, dealing with unusual uterine bleeding, updates on eye care for GPs, looking ahead in orthopedics, and diagnosing and treating Parkinson’s disease,” Dr. Ling said.

Participants found the talks was well-organised and gave them new knowledge about medical advancements.
