Salim’s body is recovered with some parts missing.The body of an Indonesian man who went missing after being attacked by a crocodile near the Kuala Baram Asian Toll Bridge in Lutong has been recovered, authorities confirmed.
The victim, identified as Salim, 49, was found on Sunday at approximately 11.15 am on the fourth day of a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre, the discovery was made by firefighters from the Lutong Fire and Rescue Station and other agencies involved, who were conducting an extensive search along the river.
The victim’s remains were located about six kilometres downstream from the operation’s control post.
Tragically, the body was found in an incomplete state.
Following the recovery, the remains were handed over to the police for further investigation and procedures.
The SAR operation was officially concluded at 11.50 am.
