KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) SJK Chung Hua No 5, in collaboration with Big Grain, will host a Blood Drive and Charity Fest this Saturday (April 5).

The event is scheduled to take place from 9 am to 2 pm at SJK Chung Hua No 5 Kuching, Jalan Chawan.

This initiative aims to prevent blood shortages at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank and encourages the community to step forward and donate blood to save lives.

In addition to the blood donation drive, the event will feature a health screening programme conducted by PMG Pharmacy and USANA, offering attendees an opportunity to check their health status.

Members of the public are also encouraged to donate food aid and basic necessities to Hope Place and S.O.S Kids. Furthermore, the event will serve as a recycling collection point, where items such as newspapers, books, paper materials, old clothing, old computer parts, and damaged accessories can be dropped off.
