KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has allowed bistros to operate during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) period, but with some services prohibited.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said that entertainment services such as karaoke and live bands would still not be permitted.

“So, if you open your bistro and at the same time you have a live band or karaoke, that will be breaching the rules.

“But if you are just selling food, there is no issue — it is allowed,” he said at the SDMC’s daily Covid-19 press conference yesterday.
