Bintulu Port Foundation donates to 42 needy families

BINTULU:  A total of 42 needy families in Kampung Hulu Nyalau received food basket donations from Bintulu Port Holdings Sdn Bhd through the Bintulu Port Foundation in conjunction with the Ramadan Safari and iftar programme hosted for the local community recently.

A sound system equipment was also donated to Masjid Darul Ibadah committee of Kampung Hulu Nyalau.

The symbolic contribution was presented by the chief executive officer of Bintulu Port Holdings Sdn Bhd, Ruslan Abdul Ghani.

In his brief speech, the senior manager of Corporate Services who is also chairman of the Ramadan Safari programme, Maslihah Tioh said that the programme was part of the Bintulu Port Foundation corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment.

“This programme is an initiative of Bintulu Port to strengthen ties with the community and help those in need,” he said.

He added the programme was also enlivened as the local communities gathered to cook spicy porridge for breaking fast and distribution.
