BINTULU: The Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) supports Malaysia’s Roadmap Towards Zero Single-Use Plastics 2018-2030.

BDA general manager Datuk Muhammad Yakup Kari said BDA sees the initiative as comprehensive and needs the cooperation of many.

“Therefore, an action needs to be taken to guide the public to be more prudent in the use of plastic bags.”

He was speaking at the launch of the Plastic Bag Reduction Campaign here on Thursday (May 26).

He added that as an agency responsible for development, BDA would strive to achieve the status of a low-carbon city.
