BINTULU: The Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) is inviting children aged 10 to 16 to participate in the Bintulu Children’s Council 2025, an important initiative that provides opportunities for young people to be the voice of change in the community.
This programme aims to foster self-confidence, hone leadership skills and ensure that children’s voices are heard in the urban development process.
In a statement, BDA said this event reflects its commitment to inclusive community development.
“Children are the leaders of the future, and it is important for us to ensure that they have the opportunity to voice their views and contribute to decisions that affect their lives,” it said.
Applications are now open until February 14, 2025 and participation is free.
BDA urges parents to encourage their children to participate in this initiative as an initial step towards creating a more competitive generation.
