MIRI: A singing contest for children aged seven to 12, Bintang Kecil 2023 for Miri zone is now open for entry.
The audition for the participants is slated for this coming Saturday and Sunday (April 8 and 9) at Bintang Mega Mall Miri from 10 am to 4 pm.
To enter the audition, participants are required to bring their original birth certificate, MyKid card and a passport size photo.
The participants must also bring their own minus one in the form of a CDs or pen drive during the audition.
The audition secretariat, Norliza Yusup said former Bintang Kecil winners are not eligible to take part in the event.
Those selected in the audition from Sarawak, Sabah, and West Malaysia zones together with invited participants from West Kalimantan (Kalbar) Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore will compete in Kuching for the national level.
Meanwhile another event, Sape Junior 2023, which is to be held on the same date and venue, is open for Malaysians aged 18 to 25. They also are required to bring their MyKad or passport along with a passport size photo during the audition session.
Participants are required to bring their own ‘musical instrument or Sape during the audition.
Those who have previously recorded with any recording company are not eligible to enter this competition. Successful participants in the audition will compete for the state level in Kuching which is scheduled to be held this year.
