MIRI: Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew has advised the public, especially high-risk groups, to be aware of the air pollution index in areas affected by haze and to take preventive measures to reduce air pollution levels.

In his statement recently, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts said haze might cause breathing difficulties, especially for asthma patients or children who might experience wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and so on.

“I hope that the public can take care of their health during haze episodes to avoid compromising their health, and if necessary, please wear a face mask.

“If you feel unwell due to haze, you should drink more water and reduce outdoor activities in areas with air pollution,” he said.
