PUSA: Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor expects rapid development in his constituency next year, driven by the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA).
“With an allocation of RM205 million from BDDA, I am confident that development in Beting Maro will proceed smoothly, rapidly, and with greater focus,” Razaili said.
He credited Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s vision of inclusive development through regional agencies for ensuring all parts of Sarawak receive attention.
“With the establishment of BDDA, leaders and the community can develop their areas according to grassroots needs,” he added.
Razaili said BDDA’s focus would be on basic infrastructure, the economy, agriculture, livestock, fisheries and business entrepreneurship.
Various social and economic projects are currently being implemented in Beting Maro, with tenders expected to be issued early next year.
“This year, my service centre focused on infrastructure benefits for various economic programmes to increase the people’s income,” he said.
He pointed to the completion of the Batang Saribas I Bridge, Batang Lupar I Bridge, and Sungai Krian Bridge as significant improvements in connectivity.
“By focusing on human capital development, entrepreneurship, and skills in various sectors, we also uplift the dignity and identity of the local community,” Razaili added.
He hoped that all 2025 projects would be completed on schedule and to high standards.
