BINTULU: Fishing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test their skills in Bintulu’s largest fishing competition, the “Battle of The Anglers 2025,” set to take place on May 1 at Kolam Mega Bintulu.
Organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) in collaboration with Kolam Mega Bintulu, the competition offers attractive prizes, including RM30,000 in cash for the champion.
With an entry fee of RM150 per rod, the event is expected to draw participants from across the country.
Participants will compete for four hours (10.00 am – 2.00 pm) under strict rules, including a ban on floating bait, a one-rod, one-hook policy, and a focus solely on catfish.
In addition to the grand prize, cash rewards will be given to winners up to the 100th place, including RM5,000 for the runner-up and RM1,000 for third place, with participants also standing a chance to receive a certificate of appreciation.
