PUSA: The establishment of raw material collection centres, particularly for coconut, is necessary to bolster the local economy of Batang Maro.

Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor said that coconut production within his constituency has the potential to catalyse development through the manufacturing of various food products.

“In addition to this, there’s a plan to initiate a rice scheme in the area, leveraging modern technology for cultivation in identified suitable locations,” he said during a recent distribution of 40 food baskets from the Beting Maro Service Centre and Saberkas Beting Maro at the Kampung Batang Maro Mosque.

Razaili also shed light on the Pineapple Development Board’s commitment to purchasing pineapples and their pups, enhancing the agricultural diversity of the area.

Further supporting agricultural endeavours, he said that RM4 million has been allocated for constructing a factory dedicated to collecting agricultural produce in the Beladin area.

Also present were Kampung Spinang Semarang and Batang Maro Penghulu Musa Zin; Pusa Zone Penghulu Mahdi Kidi; Kampung Batang Maro village chief Allen Aran; Kampung Tambak Pusa village chief Musa Gapor; and Kampung Spinang Pusa village chief Rossi Morshidi.
