Alexa Chung has got a new collaboration up her perfectly tailored sleeve. The British model, TV presenter and fashion designer has joined forces with British heritage lifestyle brand Barbour on a two-year collaborative collection, reports WWD. The project will see Chung’s eponymous fashion brand and the outdoorsy label release four collections during that time frame.
Taking to Instagram Stories to confirm the news, Barbour said the series would be “a timeless outerwear collection which re-imagines pieces from the Barbour archive through the Alexa Chung lens.”
According to British Vogue, the first installment will launch in early June, comprising seven outerwear pieces, three tote bags and a hat, with a second installment expected in August. The series will feature modern details such as shortened sleeves and sleek silhouettes, the publication reports.
Chung herself has been teasing a lighthouse motif combining the logos of both brands via her social media accounts. Her principal focus these days might be her own fashion brand, which she launched in 2017 to offer pieces that emulate her aloof, It-girl style, but Chung has plenty of experience when it comes to exciting fashion collaborations. She has previously worked with brands as varied as Superga, AG Jeans and the British high street staple Marks & Spencer. – Relaxnews
