SIBU: Bandong Walk is set to get a facelift, with renovation and upgrading works to be carried out at a cost of RM1.7 million.
According to Education, Innovation and Talent Development Deputy Minister, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, Bandong Walk – which has existed for over 10 years – has provided many opportunities for small traders to earn a living.
“It is time for it to be renovated and upgraded,” he said in a Facebook post today.
The Nangka assemblyman stated that Phase 1 of the project will begin within the next two months and is expected to take 12 months to complete.
“Hopefully, this improvement will enliven the area and bring greater income to the traders,” he added.

Several also suggested that local authorities provide more parking spaces to better accommodate visitors.
