MUKAH: Most of the fish stalls at Mukah Wet Market here were empty yesterday morning because of the shortage of fish caused by bad weather.
Bad weather, which causes rough sea conditions, is preventing most of the fishermen here from going out to sea.
It is learned that the fishmongers at the market here can only get limited fish supply from some fishermen involved in offshore fishing.
The fish shortage has naturally pushed the prices up. Instead of fish, many fishmongers have resorted to selling freshwater fish and prawns for the time being.
