KUCHING: Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak has taken another step toward achieving its PROGRESS 2025 goals by equipping its staff with improved skills and capabilities through a staff induction programme.

This two-day programme here, themed “Join the Movement: Empowering Change through Inspiration, Innovation, and Impact,” seeks to align staff with AZAM’s mission, foster teamwork, and establish a clear vision for the organisation’s growth in the coming year.

In a press statement, AZAM Sarawak chief executive officer (CEO) said the induction programme is a strategic effort to align team members with their roles and AZAM’s 2025 vision.

“This induction programme is not just a formality; it is a strategic initiative to ensure that every individual in our team understands their roles and contributes effectively towards achieving AZAM’s vision for 2025,” he said in his opening speech.

Furthermore, he added that AZAM must be ready to tackle challenges, shift public perceptions, uphold its mission and governance, and focus on innovative approaches to deliver unique value to the community.

“We must be capable of changing public perceptions about AZAM’s role, understanding its mission and purpose, and ensuring good governance practices.

“It is crucial to avoid replicating or duplicating existing ideas, and instead, focus on exploring new approaches to deliver added value to the community,” he said.

The sessions were conducted by experienced facilitators, including AZAM Sarawak deputy chairman Mohamad Ariff Irwani Azahari, and AZAM member Telemachus Lo, who shared valuable insights and practical approaches to inspire participants.

By investing in human capital development, AZAM seeks to deliver impactful programmes that align with strategic agency initiatives while embracing innovative approaches to enhance its influence and effectiveness.

As part of the programme, the AZAM Fit and Fun Club also organised the “Set Sail for Progress” activity.

This memorable cruise experience on Sunday was for all AZAM staff to build stronger connections, boost morale, and create meaningful memories in a relaxed yet purposeful setting.
