LUNDU: The three-day Azam Young Souls (AYS) Capacity Building Programme 2025 featured a series of interactive workshops, team-building activities and leadership exercises.
These were designed to enhance participants’ communication, teamwork, and decision-making capabilities.
According to Azam Sarawak CEO Ali Suhaili, the programme held from Jan 16-19 also emphasised strategic thrusts such as youth empowerment, entrepreneurial growth and sustainable development.
These efforts align with Azam’s Strategic House, driving the vision of a future where youth are not only active participants but leaders of transformative change, creating a lasting impact across Sarawak and beyond.
“This initiative ensures the capabilities of Azam’s youth are strengthened through focused group discussions before they become icons of pride for Azam, serving community programmes across Sarawak,” said Khairool Adzelan, Chairman of the AZAM Youth Committee for the 2024–2026 term.
The AYS Capacity Building Programme 2025 is also aligned with Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, particularly within the clusters of Education and Human Capital Development and Innovation.
This initiative supports youth development as a critical component of the 7 Enablers outlined in PCDS 2030, focusing on cultivating high-quality human capital and fostering innovation as key drivers of economic and social progress.
By empowering youth through education, leadership training, and innovation, AYS prepares Sarawak’s young generation with the skills and confidence to lead the state’s future transformation.
