KUCHING: The Kembara Cinta Rasul, featuring the renowned Indonesian Islamic preacher Ustaz Abdul Somad Batubara, was not just a platform for spreading religious teachings but also a hub for diverse programmes benefiting the Muslim community.
During the night of Maulid Akbar, a total of 37 food stalls were opened at the premises of Jamek Mosque, providing traders with an opportunity to supplement their income.
New Sarawak Tribune spoke with some of the attendees, who shared their insights on the event.

In addition to attending the talk delivered by Ustaz Abdul Somad, we also had the opportunity to do business in the mosque grounds. The opportunity given to do business certainly helped in restoring our economy, which was once affected by the pandemic.

The programme held here is beneficial to traders, especially in increasing our income. It is hoped that more programs like this can be organised to help traders, in addition to providing useful talks to the community.

Usually, we are presented with programmes that have elements of entertainment and so on. To balance it out, we also organise programmes like this to spread knowledge and empower ourselves. We very much welcome more programs like this in the future.

Not only adults but also children benefit from the implementation of the programme here. It is hoped that this type of programme will continue in the future because it is a platform that can improve everyone’s spirituality.
