KUALA LUMPUR: ASICS has officially launched the latest iteration of its popular NOVABLAST line, the NOVABLAST 5 running shoe, promising an energised and comfortable experience for runners of all levels.
Incorporating ASICS’ newly developed FF BLAST MAX foam, the NOVABLAST 5 offers an 8.5 per cent improvement in bounce compared to its predecessor.
This technology, previously seen in the GLIDERIDE MAX, is exclusive to this model, providing unparalleled cushioning and responsiveness.
“The updated design features an Engineered Jacquard mesh upper for enhanced breathability and a gusseted tongue construction inspired by the SUPERBLAST line, ensuring a secure fit for confidence during workouts.
“Additionally, the geometric midsole design, a signature of the NOVABLAST series, delivers a visually dynamic experience, echoing the energetic underfoot sensation runners can expect,” it said in a press release on Tuesday (Jan 7).
According to senior designer of footwear at ASICS, Yosuke Atarashi, the NOVABLAST shoe was designed to showcase the full potential of FF BLAST MAX technology.
Their goal was to create a model that not only feels fast and fun but also visually represents the dynamic experience of the wearer.
With a retail price of RM599, the NOVABLAST 5 will be available at all ASICS stores and online at ASICS.com starting Jan 10.
