ASAJAYA: The long-standing Asajaya Unity Cup Football Championship is set for a grander stage in 2026, following the announcement of RM100,000 in funding granted to the organising body, Sambir Bistari Football Club (KBSB).
The announcement was made by Asajaya assemblyman, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, during the closing ceremony of the 57th edition of the tournament held in Kampung Sambir today.

He also commended the organising committee for their unwavering dedication in making the annual event a festive-season highlight.
“Well done to the organising committee for their outstanding efforts in making this tournament a continued success year after year.
We believe their performance and commitment will remain strong in the years to come,” he said.
Meanwhile, KBSB Patron, Datuk Abdullah Julaihi, speaking on behalf of the organising body, expressed appreciation for the support.
“On behalf of KBSB, I would like to express our sincere thanks for the RM100,000 allocation announced by Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah,” he said.
