SRI AMAN: Sri Aman District Civil Defence Department (APM) destroyed a huge hornets’ nest in Taman Suria here recently.
A resident contacted the department for assistance after noticing that the nest had fallen from a tree branch in front of his house at 7.55pm.
An APM officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said three personnel, led by PBT Ibrahim Kipli arrived at the location at 8.01pm and immediately destroyed the nest using insecticide and fire.
She said the hornets’ nest weighed about 4kg and the operation ended at 10.33pm.
