KUCHING: The Bandar Kuching Service Centre has allocated funds totalling RM177,692 to the SK Song Kheng Hai Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to upgrade the school’s infrastructures.

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said the school has been operating for 57 years.

“Some of the school’s infrastructure is outdated and poor which needs immediate upgrading.

“With the upgrading, it is to ensure the students can learn in a comfortable and safe environment at the school,” Dr Yii said in his Facebook post yesterday.

Dr Yii added that the allocation will be used for the installation of the roof to connect the school’s block B with the Computer Lab block as well as resurfacing the floor of the two blocks.

“Besides that, it will also be used to repair the ceiling of the school canteen,” he said.
