KUCHING: Sarawak Workers Party (SWP) has called all Sarawak-based parties outside Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to form an alliance before the next state election.
Its president Munan Laja said if they are dreaming of forming the next state government, then they must come together and consolidate their efforts and resources before meeting the people.
“The agenda of coming together is to fight for Sarawak rights and future,” he said in a statement, yesterday.
He said the proposed alliance must be formed as soon as possible because the state needs a new political group and a political reform.
“Forming the alliance is the priority in order to see three-cornered fights between it, Pakatan Harapan (PH) and GPS.
“I believed we stand a good chance in the next state election,” he said.
