SENSATIONAL entrepreneur, Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri, 37, and his wife, Datin Shahida expressed their gratitude after fulfilling their duty by paying business zakat to the Selangor Zakat Board.

A recent video shared on Instagram showed the popular couple was attended by an officer at the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) while holding a mock cheque for RM1 million during the handover ceremony.

According to Shahida Mohd Rashid, 39, her intention in uploading the video was not to brag.

On the contrary, it served as a motivation for the public to fulfil their obligation of paying zakat.

“It is meant to inspire individuals or companies — those who have excess income to jointly give zakat to those who are in need of help,” she said.

“Remember that the blessing of every penny that flows is very important.

“Therefore, let us contribute to the Zakat Board from every profit we generate,” Aliff added.

He explained that the money he and his wife paid was derived from his business profit.

“Pray that my business will prosper even more from now on.

When it succeeds, I will be able to give more money for my business zakat in the future,” he said.
