SIBU: Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat Alice Lau Kiong Yieng recently conducted a working visit to the Sibu Hospital Medical Transfusion Unit to discuss and advocate for the advancement of medical transfusion services in the central zone of Sarawak.

She said that the discussion also covered strategic cooperation opportunities between both parties to further enhance the management and services of existing Medical Transfusion facilities.

“Hopefully, with this discussion, medical transfusion services in the central zone of Sarawak can progress more in line with current technological advancements,” she said in a statement yesterday (Apr 5).

Meanwhile, Sibu Hospital director Dr Nanthakumar Thirunavukkarasu thanked Lau for taking the time to visit Sibu Hospital and for also fulfilling her social responsibility by donating blood.

“We hope that the public will take YB Alice Lau as an example to encourage more people to donate blood,” he said.
