KOTA SAMARAHAN: An enthusiastic turnout of about 3,000 concert-goers at the Aina Abdul – Imaji Tour 2024 on Saturday night (Dec14) marked a significant milestone in the Imaji tour.

Despite facing various challenges throughout her 10-year journey in the music industry, Aina Abdul’s first solo concert in Sarawak drew an overwhelming response.

“This is my first concert in Sarawak, and I am truly overwhelmed by the incredible support,” she said during the concert at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Hall (DeTAR Putra) Unimas.

“Previously, I only came to Sarawak as a guest performer, singing just two or three songs. I’ve also been told that some fans travelled all the way from Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah just to be here.”

Hailing from Johor Bahru, Aina began her music career as a freelance singer and gained recognition as a finalist in RTM’s Irama 1Malaysia competition in 2010.
Since then, she has continued to grow and establish her presence in the industry.

Opening the two-hour concert with her hit song Imaji, Aina captivated the audience from the start, following up with her recent releases, Kamu and Kejam, both launched earlier this year.

The energy in the hall surged as Aina performed her English single Shadows from 2018, before mesmerising fans with emotional renditions of Sesal Aku and Bilang.

The atmosphere heated up further with tracks from her Imaji Deluxe Edition album, including her latest release Menua, which debuted in October.

She also performed the poignant Sedia Terluka, a song reflecting her life’s journey.

For the concert’s climax, Aina enthralled the audience with performances of Kunci, Penat Jiwa, and Satu Rasa, before delivering the heartfelt Puas Sudah.

She then unveiled her newest single, Gentayangan, performing it live for the first time.

Technical difficulties during the show did little to dampen the fans’ spirits, especially when Aina sang Semalam, the runner-up track from Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) 35.

Aina also shared her single Sepi, released on Feb 8, 2021.

The song narrates her struggles and triumphs in the music world, including her time performing in nightclubs — locations she also featured in its music video.

The concert concluded with Jangan Mati Rasa Itu, the single that earned Aina a spot in AJL 38, set to take place in March 2024 at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.

Aina’ upcoming concert will be held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur (Dec 27) and Universiti Utara Malaysia (Jan 11).

Ticket prices for the UUM locations start at RM100 (CAT 2), RM150 (CAT 1), and RM180 (IMAJI Zone).

For the Zepp KL venue, ticket prices range from RM288 to RM6,666 for the VIP Box, available at www.ticket2u.com.my.
