KUCHING: Business organisations are urged to adopt the Malaysian Business Excellence Framework (MBEF) to improve their performance.

“The Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Award (CMIEA), which is the highest award in the state, is evaluated based on the MBEF.

“The objective of the award is to encourage and promote healthy business competition in providing systematic ratings in identifying good business practices in Sarawak.

“MBEF should be used by organisations to improve performance to a higher level and be an industry leader,” said Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak director Sarimah Misman at a sharing session with CMIEA winners, which was held online on Wednesday (Oct 28).

“Business excellence focuses on seven perimeters, namely leadership, planning, information, customers, people, processes and decisions.

“In this session, we are lucky to have two representatives from the local industry, namely Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd and Asteel Sdn Bhd. Both organisations are winners of the 2019 CMIEA gold award.”
