KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) SJK Chung Hua No 5, Kuching is organising its first e-WASTE activity from January 18 to 26 from 8 am to 5 pm at the school premises.
The activity is organised to collect old and obsolete electronic scraps such as computers, printers and computer related products, cell phones, cables and wires, li-ion batteries, kitchen electronic appliances and television sets from the general public
“The objective of this activity is to provide a better environment to safely dispose of their electronic waste.
“Besides, members of the public could also donate old newspapers, plastic bottles and other recyclable products.
“Proceeds from the sales of e-waste collection and used clothings will be donated to charity,” MRC said in its press release.
