SIBU: Students of SMK St Elizabeth have been reminded to express gratitude to those who have contributed to their academic success.
School board of management chairman Bishop Joseph Hii stressed the importance of acknowledging the support of the school, teachers and parents.
“While celebrating your achievements, remember those who have supported you. Success is a collective effort,” he said at the school’s annual appreciation and prize-giving ceremony on Friday.
Hii encouraged students to approach their studies with sincerity and purpose.
“Study not for external validation, but for your own growth and future,” he said.
Principal Chee Hui Yiang highlighted the school’s exceptional performance in various competitions, from international to district levels.
“We are proud of our 25 top SPM 2023 students, each achieving at least 9As, and 89 students scoring 5As and above,” she said.
Renee Kang Yan Han received the Sri Puteri Akademik Eliza 2024 award for her outstanding SPM 2023 performance, while Joy Tang Ting was honoured with the Sri Puteri Bakti Eliza 2024 for her all-round excellence.
