KUCHING: The Sarawak Regatta, scheduled for October 28 at Waterfront Kuching, is expected to be graced and inaugurated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Abang Johari is also expected to be present to witness the highlight of the Sarawak Regatta, the Raja Sungai (King of the River) Cup, which is set to take place on November 5 at 4pm.
The regatta will feature 14 boat racing categories and 38 contested events, utilising balok =, bidar and kenyalang boats.
Additionally, the Sarawak Regatta Kuching Waterfront Festival 2023 has a diverse array of activities planned throughout its 10-day run from October 27 to November 5.
These include the Sarawak Kitchen Festival, the Borneo Textile Craft Festival, the Gendang Melayu Sarawak Festival, and Pentas Kebudayaan. The public is invited to attend and partake in various events hosted during the festival.
