SINGAPORE: A wide array of Sarawak-based businesses spanning agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, furniture, and more will soon converge in Singapore for a large-scale promotional exhibition aimed at expanding the state’s international footprint.

Scheduled to take place from Oct 16 to 19, the Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 will be the first of its kind and is expected to feature an extensive lineup of both public and private sector participants.

The event will be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Chairman of the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani said the event is designed to bring together industry players and investors from Singapore and beyond.

“We are bringing the full spectrum of Sarawak’s industries — from agriculture and tourism to furniture and industrial products — to showcase what the state has to offer.

“There will also be seminars and promotional talks to highlight Sarawak’s investment potential across key sectors,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) during his visit to the Sarawak Pavilion at the Food & Hotel Asia–Food & Beverage (FHA–F&B) 2025 exhibition at Singapore Expo on Thursday (Apr 10).

Morshidi asserted that the mega fair is not just a trade initiative but also a cultural and tourism push.

“We want more Singaporeans and international visitors to explore Sarawak, to learn more about our people, our products, and our attractions,” he added.

According to him, if successful, the concept of the Sarawak Mega Fair could be expanded to other strategic locations where Sarawak has trade and tourism offices.

In encouraging greater market penetration, Morshidi urged Sarawak entrepreneurs to be bold in exploring opportunities in Singapore’s dynamic consumer landscape.

He assured that STATOS, along with the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment Sarawak (MINTRED), stands ready to support local businesses with advisory services and networking platforms.
