KUCHING: The
Sarawakku Sayang Special Aid Package announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi
Abang Johari Tun Openg is a good stimulus package because it focuses on the B40
group.
Deputy Chief Minister
Tan Sri James Jemut Masing
said that he was also involved in formulating the aid package.
“It is good and it is
correct as it focuses on those who are hardest hit by Covid-19. That is the B40
and below group,” he said.
Masing hoped the
country, particularly Sarawak could win the battle against the virus.
“If not, we might not
have the strength or the resources to keep going for months,” he said.
On Monday, Abang
Johari announced the Sarawakku Sayang Special Aid Package worth more than
RM1.15 billion to assist Sarawakians during the Covid-19 crisis.
He listed out 16
measures which were targeted at helping frontline personnel, households,
