KUCHING: A 28-year-old local fisherman, Hasrizan Rahman, who reportedly went missing, has returned safely to his home at Pantai Puteri, Santubong.

As a result, day two of the search and rescue (SAR) operation involving four firefighters from Petra Jaya fire station was immediately called off.

The emergency call was made last Saturday by Corporal Zarol from the Santubong police station.

According to him, the fisherman was suspected to have gone missing at Pantai Puteri, Santubong near Damai Golf Course.

The man was last seen on the beach around 7am last Thursday (Oct 17).

Details as to why he had disappeared were not available at press time but Hasrizan did look exhausted when SAR personnel met him at his home yesterday.
