KUCHING: PBB Youth fully supports Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s decision to reshuffle the state cabinet.
“We support the chief minister and his cabinet line-up,” said PBB Youth chief Gerald Rentap Jabu in a press statement yesterday.. Rentap lauded the creation of the Transport Ministry portfolio along with the enhancements made to the existing cabinet portfolios. “The reshuffle is to ensure that Sarawak is on the right track to be a developed state by 2030.
“This allows the GPS government to oversee the increase of import and export activities, growth in the oil and gas industry, modernisation of agriculture, urban development and transportation as well as advancement in the tourism, arts and culture sector as well as youth and sports,” he added.
Rentap, who is Layar assemblyman, said PBB Youth had ample opportunities to voice its opinions, suggestions and problems to the chief minister and his cabinet. “This is evident because our prior request to increase the number of representatives of local authorities was given fair consideration and approved,” he said.
