MIRI: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau hopes to see more educational programmes held to help prepare rural students for public examinations.
Dennis lauded the efforts of a group of educators from Miri Training College Institute (IPGKS) Miri in hosting an educational programme in a remote school under his constituency recently.
“Given the accessibility problems, any similar initiative is beneficial to the students,” he told diners Friday night.
Nearly 50 educators from Miri IPGKS attended the dinner hosted to bid farewell to the institute’s director Gumbang Pura.
At the gathering, Dennis pledged RM5,000 grant to Miri IPGKS recreational and sport club.
