KUCHING: A self-employed man died on the spot after he lost of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed by the roadside at Jalan Sena, Kuala Baram-by-pass, Miri at 3.10am on Monday.

The deceased identified as Tiong Ing Sing, 54, who was originally from Kanowit was riding home after a drinking session when the incident happened.

Sarawak Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said Tiong was believed to have died of serious head injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Traffic Act, 1987.

Tiong’s body was taken to Miri Hospital for post-mortem while his motorcycle was taken to Puspakom for checking.
