MIRI: An unemployed man was beaten up for allegedly having an illicit affair with a married woman on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old victim claimed that he was assaulted and attacked by the woman’s husband.
The alleged attack took place at a budget inn at Beautiful Jade Centre at around 7pm.
According to sources, not only was the victim assaulted, he was also ordered to pay a compensation of nearly RM2,000 for having an affair with his assailant’s wife.
The victim lodged a police report the same night after he managed to flee from his attackers and ran towards Miri central police station (CPS).
Before that, the victim’s assailants had brought him to a nearby bank to withdraw money but he made the escape.
Sources added the woman’s husband had brought a friend to bash up the victim.
