KUCHING: About 100 guests attended SEGi Law Society’s annual dinner with the theme “Light Up the Night”.
On hand to officiate at the event on behalf of Youth and Sports Assistant Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan and Sarawak Sports Corporation corporate head Gordon Hon Chun Kiat.
Also present were SEGi College Sarawak principal Doreen D’orville, heads of departments, students and guests.
Hon announced that the state Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry would contribute a RM5,000 fund to the faculty.
Meanwhile, the night was certainly a moment to remember for SEGi Law student Accram Luzinda as he was sworn in as upcoming president of the SEGi Law Society, taking over from Alain Leong (2018 President)
D’orville said ticket sales from the dinner would be donated to the Paediatric Ward of the Sarawak General Hospital.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants of the Pre-Moot event organised by the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Asian International Arbitration held from March 22-24 as well as the outgoing committees of the SEGi Law Society of SEGi College Sarawak.
The night was filled with laughter and joy as there were student performances and lucky draw prizes. These were followed by videos of the activities of the law society.
