They immediately notified the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Miri on the discovery.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, Miri MMEA Agency is scheduled to bring Aziz home to Kampung Jepak Bintulu today from Kuala Sibuti Miri.

Aziz had gone fishing from his home town around 7.30pm on May 13 in Batang Muara Kemena, Bintulu when his boat’s engine had failed and drifted away in the currents.

He failed to return home the next day, prompting his family to lodge a police report.

Following the report lodged, a search and rescue (SAR) was mounted.

With Aziz found safe today, the three-day SAR operation officially ended at 9am.
