TANJUNG MANIS: Concerned over the fate of a former Paralympic athlete who is now living his life on a wheelchair, a ship engineer has stepped up to help the man with special needs (OKU).

Sebuti Juni, 44, from Kampung Betanak was moved to give Seruji Saili, 43, a new wheelchair after he came to know of the condition of the man from a friend.

According to Sebuti, Seruji who has a disability since childhood has to skew the wheel to facilitate his daily movement.

“I was told the wheelchair that he has been using was also the contribution of a certain person but it is getting old and faulty.

“As a human being, I feel responsible to help. I was moved when seeing his condition. My intention is sincere, just to ease the burden of Seruji,” he said.
