MIRI: The Blood Donor Recruitment Committee of the Malaysian Red Crescent, Miri District (MRC), National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa), Persatuan Wanita Petroleum Miri (PWPM) and the Moving Communities (MC) will hold a ‘Labour Day Blood Donation’ drive tomorrow (Saturday) at Emart Riam from 9.30am until 1pm.
“We are targeting 70 successful donors for which at least 90 people will have to turn up and register,” said a representative of one of the organisers, Karambir Singh.
“We also look forward to support from members of the public to come forward and help us to replenish blood stock in the Blood Bank of Miri Hospital,” he added.
The joint chairmen for the blood donation drive are Karambir Singh (MRC), Chang Len Yin (Namlifa), Adeline Soh (PWPM) and Christy Lipang (MC).
The successful blood donors will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.
