KUCHING: A clerk got the shock of her life when her handbag was snatched by a motorcyclist at one BDC coffee shop on Tuesday morning at about 7.30 am.

The 38-year-old victim said she was on the way to meet friends at the coffee shop when a lone motorcyclist rode near her and grabbed her handbag.

She said the incident happened so fast that she did not manage to note the plate number or the brand of the motorcycle.

Inside her snatched handbag were her MyKad, cash RM400, her driving licence, bank cards, a mobile phone and a watch.

In another case at a 24-hour convenient store, a female cashier, aged 30, was manning the shop when a man wearing a full face helmet came into the shop at midnight on Tuesday and grabbed a mobile phone from her (the cashier’s) hand and dashed out immediately.

The victim said the man was clad in dark clothes and wearing shop pants.
