KUCHING: Two youths thought that if they threw away the ganja they had in their possession, they would get off scott-free.

But unfortunately for them, their action was witnessed by policemen who were monitoring them.
The incident occurred at about noon on Monday in front of a shop at Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg when 11 police personnel from the Central Police Station were monitoring them.

On seeing the cops, the duo aged 19 and 21 from Jalan Matang and Kampung Sileng Dayak, Lundu threw four packets of ganja on the ground and pretended the drugs were not theirs.

After picking up the drugs, policemen checked the duo but could not find any other drugs in their possession.

Both youths were brought back to the police station and their motorcycle seized. They were detained for further investigation.
